Description
Publication date supplied from British Museum. Illuminated text on mounted plates. Chromolithographic frontispiece. Magee, D. Victoria R.I., Front cover illustrated with embossed central figure of the cross with floral decoration which is surrounded by radiating lilies and crowns, all done in six colors: gold, red, blue, green, white, and black. Gilt decorative borders provide a frame, and blue shield vignettes at each corner are inscribed with Greek letters iota sigma and chi sigma. The same design and lettering are blind-stamped on back cover. Bound in brown sand grain cloth. Gilt edges.
