Description
Cabins stud hillside at Kneen's Kamp with Katherine Kneen standing in the picture taken circa 1920. In 1915, Thomas W. Kneen, maternal grandfather of Lynn Dickhoff (photo donor), purchased property on the high way north of Topanga Woods on the creek off Topanga Canyon Road between Highvale and Robinson Roads. He moved to the canyon with his wife May Haney and infant daughter Katherine to build a resort, Kneen's Kamp, with tent houses and cabins. This image was provided by Lynn Dickhoff for inclusion in the Topanga Digital History collection.
