Key Words: El Barrio Park Ms. Villanueva has lived in Claremont her whole life (since 1932). Before El Barrio park was built, the land was covered in brush. She remembers when the park first opened, and she describes the positive impact that it had on the surrounding community. This interview was conducted at the 20 Year celebration of the establishment of the El Barrio Park.
