Description
Introduction: In class we examined the structure of water and the physical and chemical consequences of the structure. This analysis provided an understanding of the solubility of polar and non-polar substances in water and the nature of acids and bases. Apply the insights gained from this analysis to chemistry in the solvent liquid ammonia. Ammonia, NH3, is a non-planar polar molecule which has three nitrogen-hydrogen single bonds and one lone pair of electrons.
