Stage and screen star Judy Holliday is chosen "Queen" of the Telephone Answering Service Industry and receives golden plaque commemorating her election from TASC President Albert E. Gilbeau (right) and Lew Lauria, coordinator of Telephone Answering Services of America. Judy is the girl who has put the telephone operator "on the map" since starring for more than three years in the Broadway musical "Bells Are Ringing," saga of the switchboard belles. She is now in Hollywood repeating her role for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film version of the hit. Plaque will hold honor place alongside Miss Holliday's Oscar and means that as Queen she rules over the two billion calls received annually through TASC. Photograph dated January 25, 1961.
