Description
Lee de Forest standing at the Marconi memorial at Lombard Street and Telegraph Hill Boulevard, San Francisco, holding a wreath whose ribbon reads, "In Memorium V.W.O.A. Sept. 7 1940." This photograph was accompanied by a sympathy card: "With deepest sympathy, The Marconi Co. Staten Island N.Y." and may have been sent to Marie de Forest upon de Forest's death in 1961.
