Description
Photograph of a trough created by a "giant plow", ca.1925. A hill of crumbled earth slopes from the left down to the ground at center while the cut of the plow on the right is a relatively smooth wall of rock. A man in dirt-stained jeans, a leather jacket and a wide hat stands at the bottom of the trough at center with a metal pick in his left hand. He looks towards the gentleman in the fine suit and light hat who crouches over the trough from the top level on the right. Several other men can be seen at the top of the trough walking into the background on the right. "Giant plow, its work, a three feet cut that turns the entire farm over".
