Photograph of the restored tower with pyramidal tile roof at Mission San Carlos Borromeo, Monterey, ca.1903-1905. A stone decoration sits at the corner of a ledge just below the roof line at left. It is the presidio chapel. The outer shell of the stone building is cracked and peeling revealing the dark layer beneath. A lake and large forest can be seen in the background on the far left.
