The California Eclectic Medical College, Dr. J.A. Monk as dean, has its classrooms above the Globe Savings Bank and Los Angeles Investment Co. offices in a two-story brick building on Hill St. between 3rd and 4th. The college was organized in 1879 in Oakland, moved to San Francisco in 1887, was suspended in 1906 and reorganized at Los Angeles in 1907. It ceased operation in 1915.
