Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles looking south from Fifth Street and Grand Street, ca.1925. Pershing Square can be seen in the lower lefthand side, just behind the tripartite Biltmore Hotel building. Farther up and to the right, the Detwiler Building can also be seen among other highrises. Across Fifth Street near the lower center of the image, the Hotel Savoy can be seen across from a full parking lot. Farther out in the background, the city shrinks in height into residential areas. Other legible signs from left to right include: "Bank of Italy Building", and "Knickerbocker Building".
