Description
Photograph of a view of Pacific Electric car 401 at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Sierra Madre Boulevard in Sierra Madre, 1908. The electric railway car is at center and resembles a streetcar. It is attached to overhead wires by a long metal arm and rests on curving tracks set into the street. A group of men and women is standing near the entrance to the train at right, while a solitary man stands at left. A two-story hotel can be seen in the background at center, and a low wooden building is in the foreground at right. Several trees are visible around the tracks, while two large mountains are visible in the distance.
