Photograph caption dated May 17, 1963 reads "Seven smiling beauty contestants are seeking the title of Fiesta queen for the annual San Fernando Fiesta set for June 1 to 9. One of these lovelies will be chosen queen at the Coronation Ball June 8 at the San Fernando Elks Lodge. They are, front row, from left, Judy Anderschat, Sepulveda; Marcia Allen, Sylmar; Bridget Malone, Sylmar, and Sharon Rosing, Sylmar. Back row, from left, Joy Dunn, Sylmar; Karen Martin, Arleta, and Karen Tandy, Arleta. Parades, banquets, carnivals, art shows and concerts will round out the week."
