Photograph caption dated October 17, 1961 partially reads "Granada Hills High School is the talk of prep football circles today in the San Fernando Valley and city for its stunning 6-0 win over the powerful Los Angeles Romans last week. Gathered around head coach Jack Neumeier are the mighty Highlanders who are now preparing to start the West Valley League campaign Friday night at Reseda. Pictured are, front row, left, Brian Smith, Larry Sharp, coach Neumeier and Walt Newton; back row, left, Dave Floyd, who caught tackle eligible pass for touchdown against Romans; Gary Sharp, Mike Reece, Jim Schemedding, Lionel Boskie, Ray Callarnan, Bill Pugh and Paul Smith."
