Long Beach's Pat McCormick won the platform and springboard diving events in two consecutive Olympics (1952, 1956), performing dives attempted only by men (and outlawed for women until 1952). Her daughter, Kelly, won the silver medal in springboard at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Photo dated: July 14, 1955.
