You'll have a treasure chest of sparkling jewelry, glimmering minerals and weird stones. The game is called rock hunting. And Mint Canyon is one of the best places to go rock hunting. "It's one of the finest collecting areas in the United States," says Ray Tucker, operator of a Sierra highway rock shop in the canyon."
