Description
Second of three parts, divided for digital presentation only; the original booklet is 96 pages in length. Publication of a national women's music fraternity whose goals are to "uphold the highest ideals of a musical education", to raise the standards of productive musical work among the women students of colleges, conservatories and universities, and to further the development of music in America. In addition to notices about music conventions, the National Music Camp, and articles about the MacDowell Colony and the Woman's Symphony Orchestra of Chicago, there is descriptive information about committees, regional events, chapter directories, membership lists, with featured poetry by association members. Pan Pipes was published four times a year, at an annual subscription price of $1.50. The President in 1933 was Gertrude Evans; the publication editor was Mildred Odell Sale.
