Description
Photograph caption dated February 17, 1962 reads "Knollwood Golf Course is closed this weekend because of mud-covered fairways. However, in a humorous vein, Louis Aurelio, starter, left, tries to hit shot on 16th fairway while Arnie Gee, greenskeeper, nixes move. Roy Beckman, course supervisor, tests mud in foreground. Knollwood's 16th and 18th fairways and 15th greens were hit hardest by recent rains and mud. The first nine at Knollwood will be ready for play Monday." The golf course is in Granada Hills.
