Description: Written on verso: "Painting of Aurora on lawn during removal while arcade was constructed between old north wing of main quad building and new library. Robert Gitler kneeling."
According to the December 1905 edition of the Normal School Pennant, the Aurora painting cost $250.00 and the senior gift was started with $50.00 from the 1905 June graduating class with other graduating classes adding their share so the painting could be acquired.
Scanned with Microtek Scanmaker 1000XL Pro; as a 600 dpi TIFF image in 8-bit Grayscale. Auto Level image processing applied and compressed into JPEG format using Photoshop CS3.
