Description: Architects' drawings to make Los Angeles schools "earthquake proof" is shown in this photo, as approved by the Board of Education. All architectural decorations which might fall during a temblor have been done away with in this design. Plan for the alteration of the Gulf Avenue School is shown in this photo. Work will be financed by federal government funds and bond sales. Photo dated: March 15, 1934.
