"Mr. and Mrs. Wm. J. Bishop Margaret. B. Oct. 23, 1903 Julia. B. Apr. 8, 1905 Mary. B. Sept. 22, 1906. Picture taken in Tokyo, Jan. 1912(?). Mr. Bishop died in California April 4, 1913." This is a portrait of William J. Bishop and his second wife, Clara Elliott, with their three children, Mary, Julia, and Margaret. It was taken in Japan one year before Mr. Bishop's death in California from Tuberculosis.
