Shades of L.A. is an archive of photographs representing the contemporary and historic diversity of families in Los Angeles. Images were chosen from family albums and include daily life, social organizations, work, personal and holiday celebrations, and migration and immigration activities. Photo of Lea Munz Stoakin and Paul John Stoakin on their honeymoon in 1926. Photo taken at the Leuzinger family dairy farm in Kelseyville, Calif. (near Napa). The Stoakin's had been swimming at the pond on the farm. Leuzinger family were friends of the Munz family in Switzerland.
