Photograph caption dated November 20, 1953 reads "Routine questions and answers. If the citizen telephoning police headquarters desires information or advice, the call is relayed to officers on duty at the desk. Here, Officers Ulysses Nesbett and Syd Moate listen attentively to two such calls. One concerned information regarding a dog license and the other a 'spite fence.'" Valley Police headquarters is located at 6240 Tyrone Avenue, Van Nuys. The headquarters was later moved to 6240 Sylmar Avenue, a few blocks away.; See images #00135728 through #00135736 for all photos in this series.
