Description
Photographic group portrait of America's Bird Whistling Chorus, October 1, 1926. The women of America's Bird Whistling Chorus pose in four rows, two seated and two standing, in front of dark curtains. The surface on which they are posed is covered by flowered carpets. The women all wear pale dresses, some with long necklaces, and others with large corsage-like decorations.
The women pictured in the back row, from left to right, are: Joyce Minert, Cora Schutz, Mildred Hodge, Marie Jeannerette, Helen May Richard, Margaret Seavey, Catherine Greenlea, and Julia Alice Inman. The women pictured in the second row, from left to right, are: Florence Smith, Mazie Kinney, Helen List, Garnet Davis, Minnie Dunker, Eula Atherton, Norma Sikes, Pargaret Pittman, Magdalena Wildasin, Viola Reynolds, and Gertrude Hensel. The women pictured in the third row, from left to right, are: Hope Taylor, Jean Greive, Sylvia Sikes, Christle Eichhorn, Blanche Collins, Violette Morgan, Laurie Gardiner, Madeline Morse, and Fay Altman. The women pictured in the front row, from left to right, are: Jacqueline Taylor, Ruth Zody, Lucille Jarrett, Carol Sievwright, Helen Hunt, Florence Brown, and Phyllis Tarr.
