Description
Chart showing California's position among the first four (oil) producing sections of the U.S.A., as measued by millions of barrels. The legend identifies the four sections as: California (straight line), Oklahoma (x-x- line), Pennsylvania (-.-. line) and Texas (- - line). California is shown to have two spikes in oil production, one in the early 20s, the other in the late 20s. The chart, sponsored by the Federal Writers' Project, was drawn by D.C. Newmarch. Dated October 1936.
