It is a wide paved road with railroad tracks in the middle. It is lined with an assortment of large buildings, including a skyscraper at right. In the foreground at left is a field lined with palm trees. Several early-model automobiles can be seen on the road.
Legible signs include, from left to right: "Metropolitan Building", "California National Bank", "Heartwell Bldg", "The Holder Studios Instructors in Music Art Dancing", "Pekin Café Chop Suey", "Hoyt's Theatre", and "Cigars Candy".
