Description: “Aneityum [Anatom] - The only stone church in the New Hebrides. Built by the late Rev Dr. Geddie at Anelcauhat.” Exterior view of church with thatched roof and wooden fencing to the front. Mountains form the backdrop to the building. John Geddie of the Canadian Church pioneered the mission station in 1848 and over a hundred converts were made by 1853.
