Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated November 4, 1961 partially reads, "For persons to whom the word weekend means something less strenuous, there is the Rogers house, full of his tables, chairs, pictures, ropes, Indian blankets and a myriad of objects that he bought just because they intrigued him. A porch swing hangs in the middle of the high-ceilinged living room because Will once observed, 'If something is this comfortable part of the time outside, why not bring it in and enjoy it all of the time.' Near one window stands a stuffed calf on which Will used to practice his lassoing. A hurdy-gurdy is against another wall, a Mexican desk-table against another--but the house still keeps the rustic, fresh-from-the-plains air that gave Will Rogers enjoyment in his last years."; See images #00132373 through #00132375 for all photos in this series.
