Parsons, left, and Jack Cluett (not pictured), right, both of North Hollywood, avid rockhounds, shown grinding specimens. After finding semi-precious stones, big job of grinding and then sanding gems begins. Both claim it is one of the most healthful hobbies and there's always chance of finding valuable stones.
