Photograph caption dated November 23, 1950 reads "Actress Ruth Roman, national sponsor of the Marine Corps Reserve's third annual 'Toys for Tots' Christmas drive, shows col. J. O. Brauer her contributions to the campaign. Men of Brauer's 11 Marine Corps Reserve district are gathering toys for orphans."
