Photograph of Harbor Day in Los Angeles, 1899. There are hundreds of people visible in a grassy field in the foreground. In the background are several small buildings and beyond them is the ocean. There is an American flag on a pole at right, and in the lower right corner are several horses and wagons. The holiday celebrated the initiation of construction on Los Angeles Harbor.
