Description: Istallation shot from solo exhibition "Silent Witness: Recent Work of Ken Gonzales-Day" at UCSD University Art Gallery. Two trees straddle a dirt road in this piece entitled "Two men were found on a tree." Using archival records, Gonzales-Day went searching for California's historic hang trees. While some of the locations of the trees in this series are certain, others were taken in approximate locations that corresponded to the historical data available.
