Description
Image of an advertisement for horse gargling oil sold by G.W. Merchants; two Turkish men in native clothing tend to a dappled horse with a bottle of gargling oil; a box of two dozen oil bottles as used by "His Highness the Sultan Abdul Majid, Constantinople, Turkey" lies on the ground nearby; tents, men, and horses in a field in background.
Date supplied by cataloger based on printer history; E.C. Kellogg printed on his own from approximately 1851-1854. "Lith. of E.C. Kellogg."--text, bottom left margin. "Hartford, Conn."--text, bottom right margin. Newspaper clippings on verso.
