V2p144b In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. II, page 144 bottom. These photographs are contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." One print with two portraits of William Jennings Bryan at two periods in his life. The waist-length portrait on the left is of Bryan holding a smiling baby during the last years of his life. The bust-length portrait on the right is of Bryan close to the time he made his first bid for the Presidency. Text written under photo: "William Jennings Bryan Statesman, Orator and twice [crossed out and replaced by '3 times'] candidate for President who made himself famous by his 'Cross of Gold' Speech."
