Photograph of the Arroyo Seco storm drain showing excavation in the main channel east of Sycamore Grove Park, February 15, 1937. Many workers can be seen in the channel that runs from the bottom right to the left background. There are wooden planks stuck in the ground, while many workers hold shovels. The ground is filled with water and mud. More workers can be seen on the inclines at left and at right. Trees are visible in the left background, while a mountain can be seen in the right background.
