Description
Photograph was edited for publication purposes
Photograph caption dated May 28, 1965 reads, "It won't be hard to pick out the plane that Darrell Greenameyer of Van Nuys will fly in the Los Angeles National Air Races. Besides being the only Lockheed built P38 in the races, and bright red to boot, Greenameyer has an easy to remember brand name--'Yippee.' Greenameyer, a Lockheed test pilot, will be flying the P38 for the first time in competition this weekend."
