"Elim: Gedenktafel an der Kirche." ("Elim: Commemorative plaque at the church."). The picture shows a commemorative plaque with a big frame. Written in Afrikaans and with capital letters the plaque says: "OPGERIGT TER GEDACHTENIS VAN HET HONDERDJARIGE BESTAAN VAN ELIM, 1DE AUGUSTUS 1824-1924. LOOF DEN HEER MYNE ZIEL EN VERGEET GEENE VAN ZYNE WELDADEN." ("Raised in commemoration of the centennial existence of Elim, 1st [of] August 1824-1924. Praise the lord, my soul and don't forget any of his boons.") Written on the card board: 16.II.34. P. Theile." The inscription on the plaque is written in an older version of the Afrikaans language, not in modern Afrikaans.
