Description
William H. Parker, who takes over officially as permanent Police Chief of Los Angeles, reminisces over his Police Department career while spending a few moments with his pet dogs. Parker joined the department in 1927, became a Sergeant in 1931, a Captain in 1940, Inspector in 1947 and Deputy Chief in 1949. Photo dated: August 3, 1950.
