Description
Astronomer Nicholas Mayall, of the Lick Observatory, writes to EPH, thanking him for information and commenting on some of it. He is glad for the clarification on IC 33475 and IC 3476 in the Virgo Cluster, and notes that their 20 inch plate is very weak of IC 3475. In examining it, he surmises that faint dwarfs may be common in the Virgo Cluster. Bertil Lindblad has asked for information on the rotational direction of 4565. He and his colleagues are still talking of their meeting, and he reports that Donald Shane seems very supportive of the nebular research. He is looking forward to the prints EPH plans to send, and asks if 672 might also be included. He asks EPH to let Milton Humason know that he is working on the spectrum plates.
