Description
Photograph of a Pima Indian woman sitting on the ground making pottery by an adobe and grass hut, Gila River Reservation(?), ca.1902. The woman can be seen at center wearing a skirt, long-sleeved shirt, and cloth tied around her head. She is facing right, but her head is turned to look straight ahead. The adobe and grass hut can be seen at right. The relatively barren landscape has only scrub brush in the background at left, and a butte is visible in the distance at left.
