Description
This study of the fiscal condition of the City of San Diego is one in an ongoing series of fiscal analyses conducted by the Rose Institute of State and Local Government. The report analyzes the finances of the City of San Diego in fiscal years 1988-1990, 1992-1993, and 1996-1997. The study primary reviews the debt, expenditures, revenues, and redevelopment funds of the city and finds implications that affect resources and utilization of debt. Moreover, the study projects that the transient occupancy tax (TOT) will likely increase in the city. The content of this report is the sole responsibility of the author.
