Description
Photograph shows a group of men from the Diamond Match Company in the woods near Stirling City. 2nd from left - front row: J. S. Cap Gunby, manager of the retail yard at Chico - he was an old Sierra Lumber Company employee. 3rd from left in the front row: with mutton chop whiskers is Major A. F. Jones, Oroville - Diamond's legal counsel in California. 4th from left in front row: F. M. Clough, general manager for Diamond in California from the start of the venture until 9-1-1910. 1st on the left 2nd row: bareheaded with necktie is Vernor S. Wolley who succeeded Clough as general manager.
