Police cooperate to fullest with Capt. L. A. Kreimer in training guide dogs and blind persons to find their way safely through traffic and around obstacles. Here patrolman W. R. Wootton illustrates a typical bit of 'cooperation' as he shoves tricycle in front of Mrs. Edith Hutchinson, of North Hollywood, Calif. But Katie, the alert dog, spots the tricycle and pressure on her harness handle has already started Mrs. Hutchinson toward the opposite edge of the sidewalk. Photograph dated March 17, 1959.
