Description
Image of an elevation view of the side of a steam locomotive, with a 4-4-0 wheel arrangement and the labels "Cincinnati & Chicago Railroad Co." on the base of the dome, "R. Norris & Son Builders Phild." on the sandbox, "S. Meredith." on the boiler, and "R. Norris & Son Builders Philada." on the smoke-box door; the locomotive is on tracks in a rural landscape with a lake and house visible on the right in the distance and rocks and a log in the left foreground.
Probable date based on reference to image in Old Print Shop, Portfolio, October 1945, page 47. "Printed in Colors by A. Brett, 6 South Seventh St. Phila."--text, bottom left margin. "Drawn from Nature & executed on Stone by L. Haugg"--text, bottom right margin.
