Watercolor depicting the 56-foot Edward Everett, Jr. steamboat with a 10-horsepower engine at Benicia before it headed up to the Sacramento River. It was one of the first steamboats on the Sacramento River. It was built by the crew of the Edward Everett while traveling around Cape Horn from Boston.
