Photograph caption dated March 16, 1964 reads, "Los Angeles City Councilman Louis R. Nowell presents resolution to Curtis Fontenot of Pacoima in Council Chambers, honoring him as an outstanding athlete and citizen. Fontenot has been signed by the Houston Colts and is now en route to spring training. Fontenot was also a star football player at San Fernando."
