Photograph caption dated May 30, 1957 reads, "They still remember - Emery Potter, left, adjutant, and James Jones, commander-elect of North Hollywood American Legion Post 307 lay wreath on soldier's monument at Valhalla Memorial Park in North Hollywood where hundreds gathered today in Memorial Day services. Inscription, by Sir Walter Scott, reads, 'Soldier rest! thy warfare o'er, Dream of fighting fields no more. Sleep the sleep that knows not breaking, morn of toil nor night of waking.'"
