Photograph caption dated January 13, 1954 reads, "Leonard K. Firestone pins Boy Scout emblem on Olin Welborn III of Hollywood Turf Club group." The Hollywood Turf Club Associated Charities gave $23,000 to the Los Angeles Area Boy Scouts, who are preparing to purchase 40 acres of land adjacent to their Circle X Ranch in the Santa Monica Mountains.
