2007-0131 (scanned from color transparency, framed) -- 2011-1750 (unframed).
Photograph of a painting in an ornate frame of Joaquin Miller, painted by J. E. Stuart. Miller is seated, looking to the right, his right hand is in his pocket, his left hand is holding a cigarette. The cigarette smoke shows a nude female figure playing a Greek harp, her face turned to the poet.
Two 5x7 in. black & white photographic prints copied by William Lugg in 1930's or 1940's.
In 2007, Palmer Photographic made photographic copies of original oil painting for preservation. Project created three color 10 x 8 in. photographic prints; four black & white 10 x 8 in. photographic prints.
Also have negatives from Palmer project: no. 28,639 (4 x 5 in.) consisting of four b/w, four color, and four color transparencies.
