Photograph article dated January 15, 1963 partially reads, "A West German laborer is at work in Berlin learning English in preparation for the fast-approaching day when he and his family move to the United States under the sponsorship of Studio City Rotarians. Thirty-four-year-old Heinz Marquard, his wife, Irene, 38, and their two children, Reiner, 10, and Sabine, 8, will arrive in Studio City the beginning of April to start a new way of life as Americans. Their well-being has become the project of the International Service Committee of the Studio City Rotary Club headed by A. V. Havens, a Glendale minister and real estate man." A. V. Havens, discusses plans to support refugees.
