Description
A photo portrait of Private First Class Rudolph Estrada (photo donor's brother, also known as Rudy) upon coming back from overseas service for the US Army. On his uniform are some medals which include a Combat Infantryman Badge. As part of the 80th Infantry Division that fought in the Battle of the Bulge, he was awarded a Purple Heart. He was wounded on the right shoulder. Handwritten on the bottom of the photo in black ink can be read although with some words cut off: ""To my lovely [not available] With all my lo[ve] Rudy.""
